£1350 Build — Would you change anything?

I take it the pro would still have ample space for sli / crossfire and all that one might need.. it does look nice. I was very taken by the full version but price put me off.

Yes you should have no problem fitting a couple of cards in the Phanteks. I would also look at the Corsair 450D as it is pretty similar in price and looks.

Whats the performance gain from 290 to 290x? Im guessing minimal.. Also, have you got experience with the NZXT case? Got lots of good reviews I see.

at stock speeds the 290 is prolly around 5% slower than a 290x

hence i dont think a 290x justifies an extra 100 quid or so on top of a 290

the nzxt phantom gets a lot of good reviews, i personally havent owned one though =x so i can only go from the reviews

anyway i was just showing that for the price, you can get 2 near top end cards that will definitely blow the top end card out of the water performance-wise.
of course there can be problems with a dual gpu setup, you just have to weigh the pros and cons of each and see which you want more

Yeh thanks man. It could be worth getting 2x 290's for sure. I definitely don't see the point in the 290x anymore, as performance gain against cash just don't make sense. Question though... would an 850W PSU be enough for 2x 290's?
