has anyone been able to get games to run at the above rez? iv tried battlefield 2 but it does not accept it.

anyone else have any ideas?

how come games like flatout 2, toca 3, and others only show 1280x720 or 1280x768 but don't show 1360x768? wish there was a way to force everything to run at the fixed resolution of 1360x768

I think most games have a custom resolution option through console or by editing a file in the game folder.

It runs 1440 x 900 fine, you sure there isn't a misplaced space or something silly in the edited shortcut?

deffo no mistake in shortcut. i leave the y ratio at 768 and change the x ratio to 1280 and it works. when its at 1360 it fails to load the game up

ok the first game i got working at 1360x768 is red alert 2. editied the ini file and it runs in native rez fine.

still no go with battlefield 2, flat out 2 or toca 3.

the setup for flat out 2 does not list the resolution i want to run it at. is there a command line switch to force custom resolution?

i have the lcd tv connected to pc by the vga d-sub cable, standard 15pin cable that comes on all crt monitors.
would using a dvi to hdmi cable make any difference? not that i have that cable anyway...

No problems 1360x768 32 bit, Flat Out 2

eh when playing the game the monitor shows 1360x1020. I'll try Flat Out 1. That does it as well! I've seen Flat Out running on a LG 32" LCD TV (1366x768) set at 1360x768. hmm GTA doesn't allow 1360x768 must have been confused. Far cry is the same, set 1360x768 and it shows 1360x1020. The same for COD2.

Think driver/DVI/monitor issue, I've played Flat out and COD on that LG LCD so it is working, just not on mine at that rez. Perhaps because ratio? Rather than keep it 16:9 (1360x768) it upscales to 16:10

ehh? how the heck did you manage to get that working?

hmm im using the pc with the nvidia 6800 in it.

looks like i will try the pc that has the radeon 9800pro in it and see if that does anything different.

my screen is just picked up as a plug and play monitor. doesn't display the correct name or anything.

screen im using is the ocuk yusmart 32incher :D
here is a pic of it.

Read the above, I can't get it to output 1360x768 on this monitor (LCD in sig) although as I said it did work on a LG LCD TV over DVI.

the 9800pro was easier to setup, in CCC it has the 1360x768 resolution available under the displays manager section. problem is flat out 2 still does not list the resolution as being available in its options setup.

my lcd does not have dvi input. only has scart, svideo, vga, rgb and hdmi. bit gutted that i can;t do any native rez gaming on this screen other than in red alert 2.

just don;t understand why the options don;t show up for me like they show up for you??
