I just wondering why the massive jump.

Have to say I kinda passed on the 1366. I had a cheap server rig built on a i3 and 1156 for a while. But went back to laptops. Any cheap machines I've picked up since have been LGA 775. Work machines are dual Xeons on 1366 though.

Im not into buying second hand really - too risky with things like mobo/cpu/ram due to people lacking care !

If its cheap enough then it might be worth a punt, but where I am the cost of a high end stuff tends to be too close to new prices to be worth the risk.

I agree in part, however things that are easy to test are fine. So CPUs, Memory, HDDs etc shouldn't be a problem.

Wouldn't count on it for overclocking performance tbh. But foxconn make hell of a lot of motherboards despite not being a "big brand".
