any ideas

More info required, what has he currently got? what are his expectations? Also just a friendly heads up, lazy text is not tolerated round these parts ;)

whats lazy txt,lol

anyway spec

i3(dunno which one)
its a radeon 5570

thats all he told me,lol

Lazy text means text speak such as m8, u, y etc. etc.

You're not limited by letters here so feel free to use them all :P

On topic: still would need more info - what games is he playing being a big one.

well it really depends on how he is faring at the moment. i mean even though the resolution is low, if he were e.g to buy a gtx 580 yeah it would be major overkill, but the card would probably last him 2-3 years and still be maxing games

well seems pointless asking here, i type what im told. guess what is said bout overclockers is right,

mods plz delete my account

Welcome to the internet. Asking for technical advice with vague details will get you nowhere fast on most forums.

And yes, he needs a better GPU. What's his budget?

These are pretty damn good for £80.

As are these for just over a ton

Make sure you get cards ith plenty of VRAM - he'll need it at such a high res :p

If his PSU is up for it, the 6850 seems the best
