13900KS review

On the K? What site? I want to look at the data :) that's got to be a very rare sp...

On other overclock sites they seem to be saying the k and ks results can't be compared, so hmmm
KS. Just have a quick look at the posts on OCN.

My own 13900K has a SP (P) 120 and ill find out what this KS is at the weekend.

You can't compare SP numbers for the 12900K and 12900KS as it has different VIDS so the SP scores are different.

The 13900K/KS you can compare the VIDs, so the SP's are a lot closer.

I'll be putting my 12900KS SP (P) 106 up for sale soon as well, that's a very good sample.
In terms of similar performance is what I meant. These guys seem to test a good few and most probably did the same with the 12900k/KS. What I mean is, have you noticed a much smaller gap this time between the 13900K/KS than the 12900K/KS?

My 13900k isn’t a great example unfortunately but I’m happy with 5.5ghz with decent temps.

It depends in all honesty. If you have a poor to average 13900K the KS will give you much more thermal headroom. I'll do some AB testing over the weekend, but I am expecting it to be the same. So i'll be able to present the VID information a lot clearer and any other info.

In regards to the 12900K/KS, I personally had 6 12900K's and they where all dogs with a very poor OC performance (5.1/2Ghz) due to thermal limits and I also had 2 x 12900KS's, one was bad but it still clocked a lot better than the 6 x 12900K's. The other interesting thing I noticed the the 12900K's which I had was they where all V Batch CPUs and I had one V batch 12900KS and one X Batch 12900KS. All the V Batch CPU's I had where very poor but the X batch seems to be night and day different. I don't think the same applys to the 13900K/KS now

This is very good info. Especially the V/X batch which I wouldn’t put down to a coincidence considering the amount of V batch CPU’s you tested, and out of only two X’s both were better. Very interesting.
