Thinking of getting a 1440p monitor in the next month or two, but looking at whats available it's a bit of a minefield.

Anyone recommend me a good one?

Budget is sub £500 if possible, but willing to consider more if the monitor is really worth it.

I've heard varying reviews of the AOC. The stand I hear is rather flimsy, & IQ just isn't as good as some of the competitors.

I'm currently using a Benq 24" GL2450 VN panel, & have to say for the price I have been very pleased with it.

I had a Dell U2713HM but it's a lottery regarding backlight bleed and I was never happy with any of the ones I had really. Apparently it's too hard to make a good quality IPS monitor without colours and light leaking everywhere.

Eizo EV2736 is the best 27". AOC Q2770, Viewsonic VP2770, or BenQ BL2710PT are cheaper alternatives.

Any other 27" models aren't even worth considering.

Unfortunately the Eizo EV2736 is also a quality control nightmare as well, quite a few users gave up it on hardforum and the one I received had terrible back light bleeding on it.

I've been chasing a 1440p myself, if my searching is anything to go by people generally say stay away from the Dells, Asus due to bleed, dead pixels, poor quality and customer service over them. The AOC Q2770 confuses me as people recommend it but some in depth reviews say it doesn't have out the box good colour, tinted, and misty anti glare plus a little overshoot on response times, but the big draw being the price.

I ordered a Viewsonic VP2770 the other day but still waiting for it to be delivered, praying it will be OK as my recent history of monitors has been a complete joke. Been through about 10+ Samsung S27D590 1080p models all having severe bleeding and dead pixels, had 2 aoc i2757fm with severe bleed and extreme uniformity issues, the 27 1440p Eizo I mentioned above and a few other screens with the same issues

I would have to disagree on that point. I complained about the bleed on my Dell monitor and I had a replacement the next day.
