I have 2 msi r9 270x 4gb cards in my rig , or atleast I will when 1 of them comes back from rma :) ... And was just wondering how they would cope at 1440p ? I'm currently at 1080p and can max pretty much everything I've tried so far with a solid 60 fps

Since you have the 4GB cards...you should be fine.

But do bare it in mind that 256-bit memory bus would mean you would have lower memory bandwidth than the top-end cards, thus you might get heavier performance hit when applying AA (but in the same sense, if you reduce AA level, you would recover more frame rate than cards with higher memory bandwidth).

According to some benchmarks, 2x 270x are better than 1x 290x - Im currently using one 290x, as my second (MSI I might add) is also currently off at RMA :D. Thats holding most things at a constant 60fps at 1440p so I should think you'll be fine!

Depending on settings.

Games that use supersampling (i.e. Sleeping Dogs) for example the CF270x would probably be the same frame rate as the 290x, but would not be as smooth (due to multi-GPU vs one GPU), and also games do not always scale well multi-GPUs. But that's would be a separate discussion and not relevent to the OP, considering he already own the CF270x rather then making purchase decision.

You will be fine. Overclocking the memory of both cards will help, as will the core. Enjoy.
