£15 a month "3" contract - Upgrade?

Well im on £15 talker package on "3". It has 250 minutes and 50 texts a month. I always seem to go over ever month, like last month I paid £45. How do I go about upgrading the contract to a £20 or £25 contract as my dad said you cant upgrade because its a fixed contract. Surely you can, as they will be getting more money.
 
They will let you upgrade as it will benifit them but they wont let you downgrade.

If thats with 3 as the titlee suggests its a very poor deal - im with 3 and get 750 mins 150 texts 50 video mins 50 multi media messages and £5 worth of downloads for £17.50 a month
 
I have a 3 contract, its the mix n match deal..

£18 a month, I get 500 units to other networks, free international roaming access, certain websites, such as hotmail, MSN, ebay free and 300 units to 3 network....

1 unit is 1 txt or 1 minute talk time...

I hardly ever go over, as to send 500 txts or talk for what like 8 odd hours on a mobile in a month is going some..!! Plus I've friends on the 3 network, so I'm getting around 800 units free a month for £18..

I'm not getting picture messages though, so do not use them.... I get free voice mail collection, and to me, I think its a good deal...

I also got a sony K800i free, that was some 6 months ago now, with free insurance..

Give 3 a call, you can easily upgrade, I was told this when I signed up, just never done it, had no need to...
 
I don't think you can change to the new mix and match deals from an older contract, but they'll definately let you pay them more. I realised I was sending more texts than making calls a couple of months after I took out my contract with 3, so I called them and they were able to put me on to a different contract with more texts than minutes at the same price.
 
they should let you upgrade to the mix and match 1100 offer of £20 a month instead of the usual £27 as im sure i read on other forums of someone else doing it
