£15 Computer ...

Is that their own distro? Oh well, I am impressed. 1080P!!!!
I am really pleased with what they have done so far, can't wait for more people who know about linux. I will probably get one, as it's so cheap!

Seems to me like it's basically the main board of a phone (obviously much cheaper to produce though) without the phone functions, and a few different ports added in.

Clever idea, hopefully it goes to some good uses!

Can it run battlefield?

Of course on super high detail as well.
Colleges around the country could completely replace desktops with these, also this stuff is great for computer science! They should completely strip out ICT/computing , replace it proper computer sci. You may think I am mad but I would actually say that Maths teachers are probably more eligible to teach computer science than the current ICT/Computing teachers. We could teach some quite heavy computer science at A level, however it should be made a requirement that all students are doing A level maths.

Actually this vid is more impressive, playing full res HDMI video. Better then a lot of full size PC Ive used, if £10 cost was possible it would be commercially profitable anyway

Already have one. Universities related to the scheme already have them on special order and as I'm part of the AI society I got the opportunity to purchase one. I have Linux on mine, quite tidy. They're mainly to be used in robotics as the brain of the system.

I have the more expensive one though. May as well for the extra features. It doesn't exactly break the bank.

It was either £10 for the cheap one or £16 for the more expensive one. The university paid the rest of the cost :D They release them in batches and test them at the same intervals too.

Retail release will be January, which is when Ill hopefully be picking up another for my robotics project :)

What version of linux do you use, I cant even get linux to install and boot from a usb stick

I wonder what it can retail for and is that full retail or is it subsidised

As soon as I saw the £15 I knew it would be the raspberry pi. I'll definitley be ordering one of these, probably model B.

Awesome :)

Considering I am getting BT Infiinity in 7 days I think one of these would be awesome for downloading stuff!

This is complete BS, I just asked on the Raspberry pi forums.

Why should we respect your posts when you just posted a blatant lie?

Actually, I do apologise, its not them but something incredibly similar that we have. Its not the actual Raspberry PI. Its based on the same type of thing but its not the same. I will admit to my mistakes.

Ours is the Arduino or something like that, slightly more expensive.
