The card I specced you is faster than both of those and has more VRAM![]()

u sure? i looked at the core clock and it was 625Mhz or something, with those two cards i can overclock to over 1ghz
LOL, you have a lot to learn, it's not all to do with clock speed
Have a look here for a comparison between the 6870 and GTX 470
The non Ti version of the GTX 560 is even slower than the 6870![]()
My friend, one thing you should learn about GPU and CPU is that directly comparing the GHz don't mean much, as a lower GHz on a faster GPU/CPU can actually be faster than a higher GHz on a slower GPU/CPU.u sure? i looked at the core clock and it was 625Mhz or something, with those two cards i can overclock to over 1ghz
it seems to use a lot of power. with this what will i be able to play bf3 on?
and oh yea, im a newb on graphics cards![]()
Yes they use a lot of power, you have to decide what you want though? More frames per second in games or a more eco-friendly card but not as good performance!
As for BF3, I'm using a GTX 480 (the 470 can easily clock to 480 performance)and can play it with most things on ultra @ 1920x1200 with good fps
What monitor will you be using btw?
http://event.msi.com/vga/afterburner/download.htmright now im on 1280x768 but im going to move onto to 1920 x 1080. oh and how to you overclock a GTX 470?
Coupe69, i might pm you in a week or so, asking you exactly what to change to.thanks
No point. Each card OC's differently
well ill ask for tips, i dont want to fry the card![]()
I'm hoping you'll be buying that PSU (or better) as well?
Also make sure you download the latest beta driver from the Nvidia site if you're planning on playing BF3.
