Im thinking of setting up a SCSI RAID0 array, just for a change, and to experiment a little
Thing is, both my rigs are quiet, and im not sure how loud SCSI is exactly...
Im thinking of putting the case (antec SLK3000B) inside a MDF cabinet i could make easily, which i would soundproof with some loft insulation, and drilling some holes / meshing the front and rear a little...
Would that dampen the sound do you think ?
Any ideas people ?
Would be using a 4 disc, 18gb 15k raid0 array on a PCI controller of some sort, or i might be tempted to use an older dual CPU board, go PCI-X and get some 1.6ghz Xeons
