On the topic of 16 year-old starlets, Arsenal have nabbed another from Barca today - Fran Merida. I think he's an attacking mid, but I'm not entirely sure.

But still Le Tallec and Pongolle were labeled as the next big thing when Houllier brought them in, still young i know, maybe Pongolle hasnt been given enough of a chance.

) is a good example, everyone was raving about him we paid 8 million in some crazy bidding war :/ played amazing a few times, got injured.

at least all these "starlets" arsenal sign dont cost silly amounts

and as for boro fans filling the stadium , we could win the cup and it still wont happen , middlesbroughs a poor town and ticket prices are stupidly high.

Why would Barca let such a promising youngster leave?

For the same reason Cesc left, he can't sign a contract yet. I've seen some footage of him, he looks very good.

It is all rubbish as far as I'm concerned. Henry just a few weeks back said he wouldn't leave and I believe him. I do however think he will sign his contract in August not now. To put pressure on the board and Wenger to get some much needed players in.

Maccarone puts more heart and effort into his game than most of your other 'stars' though.
