Hey all,

My shiny new 160GB iPod Classic arrived.. pics for those who are of the visual persuasion :)


Firstly, they are shipping in a much better box...much slimmer.

As you can see it is still thinner than the older 5G iPods, and the 80GB is meant to be thinner again.. i'm impressed!

As much as I'd love all my music in my pocket, it's still too big to fit in my pocket :p

And they've still got the shiny back, why did they not change them to be like the nano?

Nice pics! btw the new nanos also now have the shiny mirror back so i wouldnt be too jealous , lol.

They've regressed? I think my free one from the promotion might have to be passed on straight away :p

The classic does look nice, but I'd want to keep it perfect, therefore I'd never take it anywhere :)

if you browse by album you get a small album art pic with the album title next to it and the artist just below.

if you browse by song you get no album art but the song title and the artist just below that.
 
Man, I was secretly hoping the 6G interface wouldn't be that much better so I could put off buying one - but it does look the business :)

What does Coverflow look like on it? (I was under the impression its on there)

EDIT: Just realised you've pasted a pic of Coverflow already
 
Sorry about the coverflow shot.. it looks a lot more vibrant in the flesh :cool:
 
EVH, a weird question for you but does the body of the new iPod scratch or smudge easily? :D
 
Can't say I'm looking to scratch it, but it definitely isn't as smudge-attractive as the older plastic model :)

The back bit still collects fingerprints, but the front is very nice (think MacBook Pro).
