16gb not showing up in computer

hello,

I've recently built a computer, I've got the 8 pack 3200 16gb ram installed. However only 8 gb is showing up in the bios and the about this pc in windows.

I'm using a b350 strix motherboard. I fear that I've got a bad stick of ram. I've just purchased this, so what do I do next?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Just so that I understand, I should try booting with one stick, if it boots it's ok. Then remove that stick and repeat this with the second stick. Thank you for this help

Thankfully ram works fine. Just needed to change slots. Interestingly it was the mb that was incorrect in which slots to put 2 ram sticks in.
