16mb vs 32mb worthwhile

Hiya, looking too get a new 500gb hard drive im running 3gb ram and a 2.5ghz am2 athlon dual core with a k9agm3 motherboard

would there be much difference in speed with the 32mb version or would it be a waste of money as the system isnt exactly top spec and dont wanna spend extra money if the performance isnt goin too be much

got no plans on upgrading the system anytime soon apart from the drive so thought i would ask the experts

Benchmarks would show a very minor improvement with 32mb but you will never be able to notice the difference in real life.
