I think it keeps the downloaded files integrity intact.
When HL2 was released I had to download it twice for it to run correctly.
My first download was with 2 clients running, not sure if thats what caused the corruption but to be safe Ive turned off F@H ever scince when downloading large files.

See for yourself. Make a copy of a large file with folding running, then without. It's much quicker.

Well all I know is that despite my accumulated borgs, Dreeder is whooping my backside with far fewer CPUs.

Linus would require a major rebuild of my PC. A step too far I suspect, especially as it needs to run windoze for gaming.

VMWare Server might be your friend (depends on CPU type and available RAM - newer CPUs have the execution extensions to allow virtualisation not to suck).
