.

From what I understand, it'll be the standard lot, from an article I remember seeing posted here some time ago:

Composite / SCART
RGB
Component. I guess if using component, it'll be possible to then use VGA, but I'm not sure if it's even going to support any HD screen resolutions yet, but it may do 480p, but nobody is going to want to use 640x480 resolution on their VGA monitors.

That's exactly what I'd want to do!

Well, by nobody, I mean all those with their TFTs that look pants in any resolution other than 1280x1024.

I personally feel the Wii is one of those things you need the biggest possible screen out there to really enjoy it properly, as you're going to be pointing at points on screen etc.

When I get a Wii it'll have to go on my TV in the living room as it'll look terrible on my TFT :(

Luckily (unluckily?) my main TV is just an old 28" CRT so the Wii will be fine on that, I have to run the 360 through my TFT.

Although it may look ok on my CRT monitor which means I'd be able to keep the Wii out of the living room and away from the kids!

Wii dev kits use standard Gamecube connectors and cables.. It has standard AV for RGB scart and Digital AV for Component output for 480p.. im assume the Retail test kits will be the same..

I'm pretty sure it'll be composite/RGB-SCART/component/VGA, with all games supporting widescreen and progressive, but not high-definition.

Yeah, you can get component cables for the GC.

But you need a US machine.

I'm a little worried the Pal Wii won't support progressive like the GC. I ended up buying a US Cube just for 480p.

The earlier UK cube's had both digital and analog outputs.

Is that the digital output? My release day UK Cube has this.
