.

Yeah..I've been in simialr situations in the past.

Our 9 bedroom house + 3 server PCs really knew how to make the electricity company cry :)

Yeah. I guess the tears from said crying were ones of joy on the elec co's part.

One of the other 'fun network games' we play in our house is renaming all the files in our housemate's shared folders to something like "Dan sucks". Childish jokes are always the...most childish :)

Indeed. I know you're a SC fan and, related to that, I've found it quite hard to get into any other RTS games since. Much you can recommend that plays similarly?

There's Counter Strike 1.6, that always give endless hours of fun with map cycle every 30mins and full 8 players.

Got to agree though, worms is probably one of the best LAN games I have ever played, because it's got everything, violence and humour with funny voices all mashed into one.

On the xbox: Halo 1, no radar, invisible: Rockets on Hang 'em High and Boarding Action; Shotties on Longest, Chiron, and the Damned;

I could have the names wrong, been forever. Boarding Action is also good with normal weps and visible, but always no radar.

Overall best is invisible rockets on hang em high, so many places to be!

We do, it's incredibly dull though.

We don't like things like dota, we like proper games. Worms, Warcraft 2 and serious sam are all on order. I wish Timesplitters worked on the 360 or we'd be playing custom maps indefinitely :(

Just need to put in some random/fun gametypes every so often or it would get dull playing seriously all the time.

Driving games are usually pretty good to get a bit of competitiveness going:
NFS: Porsche Challenge(aka NFS: Porsche 2000 I think) will work on near enough anything and still has one of the best handling models for any racing game I've played.
Carmageddon 2 should also work, I personally think it was vastly underrated on release, sure it isn't the greatest game ever but it was a lot of fun.
Toca 1 or 2 - if you can a) find a copy and b) get it working then it is worth a look.

noones mentioned any rpgs yet? well hows about diablo 2 or something. Also in way of RTS I have been playing LAN Company of Heroes a bit lately. Damn good fun
