I'll bow to Fox's greater knowledge on this, but I thought that if you're going into London, peak is any time before 0930. I don't think there's any peak time going into London in the evening.
That said, I live about 200 miles away from the place so I could be talking out of me arse.

I thought that too! Hopefully you're right in which case it's going to cost a lovely £27 return. Awesome.

Apologies to those that have knowledge of the rail system, I've only read a few threads and he seemed to appear in all of them. Just wanted a quick (ish) answer!

Thanks Masterdog :)

I think peak time is anytime until 0930 or 1000. And maybe on an evening too on some routes. I found it difficult to find out, ring your local station and ask them :)

The Outward Journey must not arrive into London in the morning peak. You are absolutely fine to arrive in London in the evening Peak using a Saver Return. You can use your Return portion whenever you like without restrictions provided its within 1 calender month from the date of the outward ticket.

What constitutes as the morning peak often varies depending on which station you leave from, and for some stations, the rule doesnt apply at all. It's there to stop commuters using Savers for work.

Excellent, cheers guys, all to the rescue again. Can't get my head around why the saver return is so cheap though. I've paid more than that before and it confuses me especially as it's a walk up price as well ...
