Faulty Spinpoint - a little help pls

My Spinpoint is reporting as bad during boot - 'Pri Master Hard Disk: S.M.A.R.T. Status BAD, Backup and Replace
Press F1 to Resume' ...

... and event logs show -'Windows Disk Diagnostic detected a S.M.A.R.T. fault on disk SAMSUNG HD502IJ ATA Device (volumes C:\).'

I DLed the hutil diagnostics tool from the Samsung site, burnt it to cd (don't have a floppy) and get 'Can't open cd driver CD001. SHSUCDX Can't install. Your ram drive is loaded at C; out of memory error Bad command or filename' when booting with it.

The Samsung site doesn't recognise the model no. (HD502IJ) when registering a product for technical support.

Yeah mate I have the exact same problem as posted here and I had the exact same error when I tried to run that Samsung diagnostic tool.

If you haven't already dload and install hdtune and tell me whether you get the same part failing on the drive as I posted here

I got the same error running ESTool from CD, but if you download it (Here) and run it from a floppy, it should be fine (also see Here)....
