18 Month Contracts

Got a query - I'm now at the 12 month mark of an 18 month contract with T-Mobile. When can I expect to be offered or able to get an upgrade?

Well with o2 on my 18 month contract i can upgrade on the 17th month of it. Not sure bout T-Mobile, probably the same but double check

offered? you probably wont be until you say you want something or are leaving from the 17th month.
ask for? when ever you want. if you have enough value then they will offer you something, if not, they will tell you not until 17th month.

sign up to myt-mobile and try the online upgrade.

they will allow you to have a standard upgrade, providing you sign up for another 18mth contract, this seemed fine until i was told it would be my remaining 6mths + 18mths, therfore 23mths till my next upgrade,, told them id wait, not leaving as i have 50% discount with them, but this is their policy

They wouldnt budge on mine. I wanted to stay with tmob but they insisted I had to wait until the 17th month.

You could try the carphone warehouse as they may offer to buy your existing contract out but i think you would be tied into another 18month contract....
