.

Going to Japan next month. Got a Swiss gf that's into bikes, as is her family and will get to ride Swiss mountain roads. And excitement of learning to ride, you've come to gloat right? :D

I did my DAS before Christmas and I'm loving bikes more and more, especially now that the weather is decent!

You'll soon wonder why you didn't do it sooner.

i could have recommended a good training school if your not far from Dudley, but now its all booked up ect good luck:D

Life is pretty amazing right now I must say! I'll be moving to Switzerland within the year too.

We've already picked out the Suzuki V-Strom (pending test rides) for our alpine and European adventures together.

It's only the CBT that's booked. I'm open to (and very grateful for) any suggestions!

Looks really easy for me to get to their Tipton centre too. Thanks for that, I'll look into using them for the training, Mod 1 and Mod 2.

I lose my £20 deposit if I change my CBT now.

I find them alright,i did my cbt with nfl btw

but black country are better imo, I think I paid as I went, then waited two years for full bike

Make sure the place you do your DAC with have access to the Test course & are not one of those "Don't worry we set up the exact same course with cones in a pub car park ****.

Buy some all in one waterproofs for the DAC days as you spend a long time on the bike so don't want to be wet. Mine cost 50 quid from Drayton croft, Still got them now a couple of years later. Go over my leathers when it rains, keep me dry & most of all warm, very warm.
1 day on my DAC I spent 7 hours on the bike in the rain, Whilst the others moaned & cried I was snug as a bug & happy to be there.
Doing so much of my DAC in the rain helped me out untold in the long run as it gave me much more confidence when it's wet.

Last Tip would be to enjoy the whole experience, It gave me a proper buzz when the Dude told me I passed.
Having an owning a decent bike is about as free as you can be these days.

I just crashed my DAC out, Best to be in the bike mentality the whole few days then do your test JD.

Got back from Japan on Monday and passed my theory this morning. That was an interesting test with jet lag but I scored 96% overall.

Time to get permission from work and book the direct access course!
