In my sig buddy!

I've only put out 1 video so far but I have 2 more I'm working on editing now for this weekend.

Low wind noise for you or for the go-pro? If you're using an external mic it shouldn't make a huge amount of difference, oviously if you're using the built in mic it'll be horrible for wind noise regardless of which helmet you have.

I keep hearing that Schuberth lids are usually the quietest on the market.
Usually quite expensive, though, but still perhaps worth checking out...

I had a Schuberth S2, was noisy as hell.

Had a few other helmets and find that none are ever as quiet as the advert make out. Just get earplugs and a neck tube, far better.

Because I often need to use satnav with earphones which offer less protection than ear plugs.

Put a video in my opening post of the problem.

Isn't it cheaper then, to get some specialist earphones rather than a new helmet? Not watched your vid yet as listening to music, so feel free to ignore me if your video answers this question :p.

It's a problem with the visor getting loose so I need a new helmet anyway, but not sure what to get.

If I can get a budget helmet without any issues then I'll happily use a balaclava and my Shure SE215's to remove all sound issues. My thought was the more premium helmets will be better built.

why cant you test ride helmets? would make perfect sense

just trying them on isn't very good, you need to test them while riding along

idk what to suggest as i don't really spend a fortune on helmets, the airoh is the quietest ive owned, only owned agv before, but still the airoh isn't silent

From what I've gathered all the high viewer vlogers use external mics either inside their helmet or in a jacket pocket etc.

If your doing that it doesn't really matter what helmet you use so long as it's comfortable :)

Cheap custom ear plug kit from the bay, cheap small in ear headphones and mould around the plugs. Worked well for a trip into Europe for me for music at little cost.

The noise isn't an issue for me, I have the kit to make almost any helmet quiet. It's so my voice gets picked up well.
