Well we have no points system so unless you go very far over the limit you'll never lose your licence :p

How far, is "far"? :p

BTW What's the max speed you can do in Switzerland? In the UK its 70mph and Poland is 87mph. Germany as fast as your machine can go :D
 
Argh no, the little sod is flickering again!

It looks like the problem is in the little block right by the tail light rather than the under seat.
 
Looks like the bulb's going as I cleaned all the contacts and made sure they fit well.

checked the earth?

checked the wires are still secure in the crimps of the pins in the connectors for the full circuit (ie every connector between battery, bulb and earth)

bulb socket and connector contacts clean and making a good connection?
 
Cleaned all the contacts, tightened the crimps and gave it power. The light comes on fine. Wiggling all the wires causes no change but tapping the bulb lightly makes it flicker/completely turn off.

p.s. that bulb gets hot instantly!
 
Not to try and speak to the garage in French. Joy!

I might just visit, point at the light and shout CASSE! loudly rather than struggle on the phone.
 
New bulb fixed it. Fed up with the garage now though as he didn't want to sell me the bulb as he was 100% sure that wasn't the problem.
