Yes I'm currently leveling up and stripping all sub abilities from all my three star gear. I think I'm level 24.

In ranked I recommend the jet or dualie squelchers except for splat zones where the tri slosher is best.

Yeah it means their WiFi is crap and they disconnected. You never see it in higher tiered ranked games so it's not a server issue, and people playing high tier ranked will have sorted their networking out to avoid disconnects.

How do you guys level so quick the crawl to 10 seems super slow! I did only get it Friday I suppose

I level up many times faster playing ranked compared to turf war. That doesn't help you getting to ten though

Yep, and it's most efficient to scrub at level 1 not 3.

You need 60 chunks though to get three of the same sub abilities.

I've not scrubbed anything. I have a ton of gear I don't need. I don't really understand how that part of the game works yet. Need to do some research!

Sub abilities aren't that important. I got a double s rank without optimising anything, and even having random primary abilities too.

Although I usually just sleep and resume my console with the game ready to go, I wish that annoying video of the 2 girls could be skipped when launching the game from the start. Annoyed me in the original too

It's even longer now than it was in Splatoon 1!

1.5 weeks in and I'm not too bothered about the chatty intro. In another 1.5 though I might not feel so great about it!

Also - 20k to scrub an item? I scrubbed the Splatfest tee which was OK at 2k but 20k? Hmm maybe I should stop buying stuff.

And you need 60 pieces to fully upgrade a single item of clothing. You're better off re rolling until you get two of the attribute you want and then spending 30 pieces on the last slot.

I think I'm just going to play and let the money mount up. I am at 3 stars for all my gear I'm not sure what I need or whether it really makes that much difference yet. I know the attributes stack so I imagine you could do some really interesting things with that. I noticed one on my Splatfest tee which says it doubles the value of all other attributes on your other gear - that's got to be a handy one. Anyway early days I don't need to get into all that just yet. Going to focus on trying to get up to A rank. I rarely play TW anymore it's just not as much fun compared to ranked. Capping the Rainmaker is truly a 'YES!' feeling. Love that.

The splat fest t-shirt is only temporary.

Depends. It can end in less than a minute or more than 20 if you manage the three waves. It's fun though whatever. You'll get a tutorial when you first go in to get you up to speed on the bosses. It can be frustrating with randoms who die every two seconds. It's a blast though. When it's not high tide...and foggy...

The maximum time limit is 300 seconds.

I found it quite hard to stay alive last night in Salmon Run. The random weapon selection can be annoying.

100 seconds per wave. At 190 percent salmon run become rather difficult!

I'm currently earning 60-80 eggs or run though.

The random weapons is a great idea as it forces people who only use the aerospray to learn how to use the other weapons.

Is this game as fun to pick up and play / local co-op as Marko kart? Legitimately?

Online is just as fun as Mario Kart online but without the randomness, although there is no real local multiplayer. It's an online only game with a token single player campaign.

100 seconds per I hadn't really noticed the clock to be honest. I only notice it when it is running out. 60-80 eggs per run? That's amazing I think the most I've hauled with randoms is 38!

I think the random weapons are a cool idea don't get me wrong - I just don't like all of them. I had the sniper rifle last night at high tide. Just not fun for me as I suck with it and I miss more than I hit and can't really contribute as much as I'd like.

I like to play Salmon Run for 30 minutes or so after work before I hit ranked play. I haven't got to the 3rd wave for a long time. Keep wiping or running out of time.

The salmon run is ranked so you're grouped with similar skilled allies. I range between 185-195%.

The tri-slosher is properly broken in ranked play. In S+ Rank there are at least 2 of them on every team.

You can unlock sub abilities (the question marks) at level 1, 2 and 3 on your clothes.

It has to be you if you lost that many in a row.

People are starting to settle in their ranks now. Previously people were ending up in the wrong rank for their skill level and it may just be that with you.

Well the tri slosher is making the game boring really quickly. No point playing in games where anyone has it.

Yeah there's no counter to it. They need to slow down the rate of fire by a lot or make it a 3 hit kill. Narrowing the width of the shot goes against the weapon design but maybe having a shorter range would be a fair change.

S+ Rank tower mode is disgusting with at least 6 tri sloshers on every game.
