19"Asus VW192S or 28"crt tv

hey ppl...ive finally decided to go with a htpc instead of a standard desktop due to watchin movies mostly..ive been testing out media portal and i really like the interface and looks very nice on my current acer1916w..was just wondering if i should i get an asus monitor to use for my htpc or a 28"crt tv priced at 100 squid..would the quality of the picture on the crt tv be even close to an lcd monitor..also i would have to use and s-video to scart cable due to the fact it doesnt have s video port..thanks

19" will be too small as a "TV" The TV although being interlaced and 50hz will have better picture quality for movies.

I would buy both. 19" LCD monitor for primary, 28" for secondary. I had a similar setup a couple of weeks ago. However you'll have to go back to MCE, Media Portal doesn't work on secondary.
