19" crt - not many about.

Ring up a few stores and see if you can try your 360 on a few sets.

I couldn't stand the texture smearing on the two lcds I bought (Samsung R series and Toshiba 32wlt66). The image was sharp at rest, but a blur in motion. I also had a plasma (PX60) which suffered in the same way - that went back to the store too. Many seem to be fine with these sets, though - you have to try em out for yourself.

The only HD crt widescreen option seems to be the new Samsung HD CRT. This appears to be plagued with troubles (have a read http://www.avforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=331180).

I prefer an image that stays sharp at all times, and think the 360 looks better on a crt at 480p than any lcd/plasma at 720.

Look out for a Sony Trinitron tube or a Mitsubishi Diamondtron.

There are referb warehouses out there where you can get them pretty cheap might be worth picking a couple up if they are cheap enough.

I wouldnt pay £250 for a new 454 personally.

And there's always ebay.

My "Viewsonic VX912, 12ms 19inch lcd lcd" is perfect no ghosting what so ever, and my lcd has just improved with age. :D

Cos when it was new playing dark games and dvds, you couldnt really see them very well, plus there were slight ghosting too. But now the lcd is loads better playing games and theres no ghosting at all...

Edit: I paid over £400 for this lcd about 18months ago,, but it had only been out about 2 or 3 weeks. But how bad is that you can get better 19inch lcds now then mine for about £200...

Im thinking about getting a bigger lcd the dell 24inch widescreen.......... Should I??

Ghosting isn't the problem I have with lds, it's the smearing of textures when moving the camera around - 2 different things.

If you like gaming on a tft and can afford the 24" I say go for it :) - we only live once.

For that budget you should be looking at 21", e.g. Samsung 1100MB or Viewsonic P227fB.

Unlike TFTs there is no disadvantage to buying a larger screen in terms of native resolution - you can still use lower resolutions like 1280x1024 without any problems.

 I'm really disappointed with the image on this TV, theres no AA what so ever, every line is jagged like you wouldn't believe. I probably wouldn't of noticed it before i got a PC but it looks really bad to me. I think ill try it on my 19" monitor but in wide screen it'll be a really small picture :( .

At my school when you scroll down the forums the whole page blurs, disgraceful.

I just bought a new crt and the next monitor I buy will be a sed, I will never have to suffer lcds picture quality ever. :D
