1900XT - Doom 3 Invisible Menu

Hi,

Since upgrading to the X1900XT, I can no longer see the menu in DOOM 3. It just shows the planet and plays the music.

Any ideas?

This used to happen to me with Star Wars Battlefront 2 either on my 6600GT or X800 GTO², I fixed it by updating my graphics drivers or updating my DirectX (can't remember which.)

Not sure which version of Catalyst and DirectX you're using, but I'd update both and see what happens.

OK. I give up.

Try as I might, I simply CANNOT get it to save the video settings. It keeps reverting back to 640x420 or something. I'm trying to set it to 1280X1024 ULTRA settings with 16XAA. FFS

Is there no cfg file you can write the settings to manually?

Try it on high settings. Although with a 512Mb card ultra should be fine. Have you tried with no AF?

You could try deleting your .cfg file ( make a backup first ) so it has to make a new one.
