Hi,

Just wondering if there's anything here before I buy that you'd want to change?

Hopefully Crysis, CoD4, etc. at high settings on 20" monitor! Also ProDesktop, 2D design, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, etc.

Thanks!

GTS is great for Crysis due its shader power and would be a good choice. Crysis will definitely be playable on high with that rig.

I bought Crysis the other week, its bollux.

Nothing but eye candy, and derivative gameplay, with numerous graphics and clipping glitches..

That system will easily run it on high, mine does

If i were you, i'd get a 8800GTS 512!

Yep the point of view 8800GTS 512Mb is just short of £170 and performs just as well as the GTX. No need to spend more than this tbh.

The next gen 9800 is coming out just a few weeks though but from the rumoured specs it looks exactly the same as the GTS 512 with a few tweaks. You may want to wait for that and see what's what. I mean prices will only go down so it doesn't hurt.

I wouldn't get a massive rig to play crysis, because you will get bored never play it again be down £1000 and be playing your other games pointlessly quick.

As I did.

couldnt agree more, crysis is one game(which aint that good) stick with a half decent rig and play some of the better games, which run ok on current kit
