Today i built my 1st pc i know that everything is connected properly

but theres no power? im worried iv fried my motherboard or something because i didnt use an anti static band or anything :/

Quick troubleshoot

1: Is the power cable in the power socket?
2: Is the switch to the "on" position at the wall?
3: Is the switch to the "on" position at the PSU?
4: Is the 4/8 pin CPU plug in correctly and firmly?
5: Is the 20+4 mobo plug in correctly and firmly?

What PSU do you have?

Are electrical connections in including the 4 or 8 pin for CPU power.

Also try single memory module (double check the correct slots) and CMOS reset.

Are you absolutely sure you have both power connections connected? Theres is a 24 pin connection and i think an 8 pin connection (i think its 8 pin tho cant remember). You would need both connected tho.

Rightio

Does the computer show any signs of life when turned on, like fans budging, any LED's coming on?

Take all RAM out, try it 1 by 1 in each slot. Try without the DVD drive and HDD just to see if it POST's.

What is the full specs of the build?

Did you use standoffs on the case, as some people have built without these in which courses a short.

Right, Unplug everything and plug it all back in again, but leave any unneeded stuff unplugged (HDD, etc...).

Is that possible, the screws would be far to short right?

Not really as the board would sit flat on the base and the screws could be to long, but this would depend on how much clearance is under the motherboard tray to the back facia panel as the screws could bottom out on this.

Athlon II x3 460
GeForce 9600GT 512mb
ASRock N68C-S UCC
Seagate 300GB HDD
x2 2GB RAM DDR2
Corsair 500w PSU

And yes I did use standoffs on the case

That's good to hear :)

Is the power supply connected to the gpu ok and try the CMOS reset.

Yeah i unplugged everything and plugged it all back together and still no power :/ I can see CMOS on my board its like a little sticky outty thing? haha only way i could exaplin it but yeah i have no idea what that is :)

I would need to double check the manual but there should be 2 pins which need shorting or alternate remove the battery for 10mins without the power connected.

The clear CMOS jumper is just beneith the battery and above the fan header (pins 2 & 3 need shorting)

Are the chassis fans spinning?

Has your motherboard got any connections for the monitor?

Try use those and take out your GPU.
