1st Build (pic)

nice :) feel you may be disappointed with the velociraptor though...in reviews they r barely any better than the sammy f1s. OCZ apex or an intel ssd is the way for massive speed atm imo :D.

I love pics where people line up their new boxes, but it makes me soo jealous :(

Gl with the build mate

Yeah me too. :D I love it when people buy stuff. haha.

Enjoy your first build!

EDIT: Oh and loads more piccy's please. I have this case arriving tomorrow! :D

nice hardware - i personally like your choice of cpu/motherboard/ram! :p

should be able to get 3.8 easy peasy with that noctua cooler

hit me up if you need any help clocking it :)

Nice!!

Good luck m8, I have just purchased my next upgrade, waiting for delivery - similar setup to yours so will be interested to see how it pans out as I am a couple of days behind you!

I notice you bought yerself some AS you shudn't have bothered as apparently the Thermal with the Noctua is good stuff!

I skimped on the RAM for the sake of monitor - unfortunately OC could not guarantee I would get the latest revision Dell 27" so I had to purchase else where - other than that all my bits from OC.

I will start a thread similar to this once I have made headway

Seconded as well :(
I got the 150 GB one a few weeks ago and am really disappointed with the speed??? what speed,i can see NO performance benefit what so ever
BUT it gives relatively good rates in hdtach etc just no benefits in `normal` use at least in my case anyway
Big let down:(

Awesome new build and u did a hell of a lot better job than what i would have done!

Did u not want to go higher than 620W just incase u dropped another 4870 in or anything?

thought about it but did'nt have them in stock. i'll see how 620w does.

did you see in one of the pics how i had to go as the crow flies from the PSU to the EATX12v coz it's too short to route round the back, just waiting for the extension to arrive then tidy up the cabling and will post pics of it complete and up and running :)

Mate, that looks amazing. Just think of me still on my 939 rig....

You did a real nice job, espcially considering its your first build.

Motherboard temps seem a little high on idle. I have just built the same apart from using a 900-2 an a 285. Mine is 29c

oh did you have any problems with the motherboard only seeing 4 Gb? Ihad to update the bios on mine to get it to work.
