1st Overclock but slight problem?

Hi,

Im running 2.13 c2d in shuttle sd32g2

just overclocked it by 300x8= 2405.4 but when using cpu-z it keeps changing.

one minute it shows 2405.4 300.7x8 then it changes to 300x6=1804.0

whats wrong, is it surposed to be changing every few sec's?

its the multiplier that keeps changing from 6 to 8 then back to 6, thus reducing the clock speed

Also Vista Ult detects it running at 800Mhz :confused:

see if you can disable 'speedstep' in the bios.

Yeah its speedstep when your cpu is idle it drops to x6 to save power but when you run a cpu intensive task itll jump back up to 8x

I cannot see speedstep in my bios, is it under a different name at all?

also the shuttle only lets me up the multiplier to 355 and I can only get my c2d 6420 to 337 before it crashes. Any other O/C that will make it go faster?
