Hi all!

My first post here. Just wanted to say hi and hoping to learn as much as I can for my build.

I've been working in IT for quite a while now but always bought PC's from Dell.

A failing graphics card on my latest Dell PC has made me realise that I'll never get the PC I want unless I build the bugger myself.

Can anyone direct me to information about PSUs? I'm looking to get the biggest/most powerful PSU I can to future-proof that component (as much as I can reasonably future-proof it) but keep finding conflicting responses.

Thanks folks! :)

No such thing as a future proofed PSU but the link Adam_101 has given is probably the best starting point. You can get some with very good warranties.

Always good to chuck money at the PSU though, often forgotten and equally usually at fault when people get a cheap one :)

Yep I know you can't future-proof. But as I say if I can get one that will last 2-3 builds and provide sufficient power for current use and expansion then that's perfect for me and will last me that 2-3build.. :)
