1st watercooling : temps Going crazy

all the times ive seen this suggested and every single time apart from this one has seen follow up posts like - do you think im stupid of course i removed the plastic cover. and you can see the paste isnt spread very well so tightening or more paste should also be better.

atleast its a very easy fix and requires nothing that is really any work. glad to see it sorted.

i bet that was a relief. i can imagine the feeling them temps give you when you think you have gone the better cooling direction :)
 
Don't worry, happens. All the excitement of a new custom loop, I know the feeling.
Also, now we know the yellow sticker offers very bad thermal conductivity.
 
I nearly made a crucial mistake with my new loop I am assembling. Spent ages carefully fitting the thermal pads on the VRMs etc and fitted the block, all proud of myself.

It wasn't until the next day (tubing not installed) I realised I hadn't removed the plastic covering for the thermal pads :eek:

This has since been resolved xD

It happens, glad thats all it was :)
