1T OR 2T

hi at the moment my ram is set to 4-4-4-12 2T. will i see any performance gain in going to 1T as ive been told my ram is capable of this

If it will run stable at 1T (CPC-On) go for it, but DDR2 today is officially 2T (CPC-Off), I think its OCZ who are going to have 1T DDR2 soon.

You need to Google to get info but 1T is what all older AMD ran at and thats why they ran faster clock per clock than Intels at 2T, CPC= commands per clock, and AMD did more CPC's than Intel (was usually part of Mobo bios and you had to mod bios to change to 2T on some).

So CPC-On is 1T and CPC-off is 2T, I cant explain it really you best Google or Wiki it.

thanks for that so if i could run the ram at 1T is it better. and also would sp2004 be alright to test it for stability

Prime95 has option that used more ram or if dual core to stop having to edit it to get 2 running (1per core) use ORTHOS.

Most use Memtest for memory on its own.
