I'm looking at buying a 1tb HDD to replace 2 of my ageing 250gb IDE drives that are currently used as general storage space and was wondering what drives are recommended?
I'm not bothered about speed as they won't be accessed that often, i'm mostly interested in quietness and reliability.
I was interested in getting this WD Green

But having read some posts recently regarding these drives essentially killing themselves i'm quite put off.
I've noticed OcUK have started to stock the new samsung F2EG.

I haven't been able to find any reviews of the drive yet but all my other drives are Samsungs and have generally been very reliable.
Can anyone help me with my search?
