1tb f3 problems

Hi any one managed to get an 1tb f3 running on the old abit an7 board. It recognises 500gb no problem and has been running a 500gb for the last year . But my wife was running out of storage space so she bought a 1tb f3.
It just hangs on the raid screen on post . Jumper is set for 1.5gb latest bios for the an7 board . Need to try and get it running cos if i dont she gonna buy 2 500gb f3's. Any answers

Why is it going to a RAID screen? Have you currently got a RAID array set-up?

Can you try and install it after switching to IDE mode in the BIOS?

no its not going to raid set up screen just hangs where you have the option to set up raid by pressing alt f3.and it displays the hardrives on the sata inputs. Then normaly it would go and start windows.

It boots 500gb fine with jumper set to 1.5gb transfer. 500gb must be the max the board can boot up with. It shows the 1tb there at post but just hangs . Remove it and pc starts fine with 500gb sata
