Hi all,

I soon need to buy a 1TB SSD for work to use for virtual machines. Whats the current recommendation for these?

I don't think I'll have m2 availability...waiting to see what my work laptop has. But most people in work currently remove the CD drive and stick a SSD in its place.

So when looking at SSDs this size is it a case of go for the best price available or should i look for a specific brand and model?

Cant go wrong with Samsung. More mission critical, without spending crazy money, i'd go Intel. But then again, it really depends on the application.
But for VM's cant see why Samsung 850 Evo 1TB wont cope.
Are you writing a lot in those VMs?

Hmmm well 2 of them are just a DC and a gateway box so not much on those. I then typically run 2 or 3 more which are normally just app deployment testing but sometimes do OS deployment testing to.

So to answer your question sometimes a lot...yes.
