1tb vs 500gb

Hi,

Would a Samsung Spinpoint 1tb 32mb cache be noticeably slower in the normal windows environment than the 500gb Samsung Spinpoint 32mb cache?

Just thought with it being twice as big without defraging all the time it would take twice as long surely at finding things?

No because of platter density

Assuming you mean the F3, they have 1x 500 GB and 2x 500 GB platters for the 0.5 TB and 1 TB models respectivley. In fact the smaller model has a 16 MB cache, no? The new 1 TB WD Blacks have moved to a 64 MB cache with 2 x 500 GB platters. I posted some benchmarks vs the F3 recently.
