You guys won anything tonight? I remember when we were playing on the beta me and my mates we got through to the top 10 and it was like, you have won 300 MS Points we were going crazy on Mic lol and then it said I won an arcade game, then I found out you didn't get anything coz it was beta. :(
 
I have always seen 'THE ONE' with a huge gamerscore like 100k or over. And I guess it is either random or first come first serve. Haven't played since BETA mind you.

it explains in the terms and conditions how they pick them

Subject to the participation limits for the role of “The One” is described below. Before each Round, we will select the top player in the game lobby to compete as “The One” based on pre-determined score criteria that alternates every three rounds as follows:

SEASON: Your current accumulated score for the entire season.

WEEKLY: Your current accumulated score for the week.

PREVIOUS ROUND: Your score for the previous round of play.

The One for each round will be the player with the highest score based on that Round’s designated score criteria.

We will determine your score based on your then current gameplay statistics. For purposes of this Challenge, we reset your weekly gameplay statistics to zero every Saturday at 06:00 GMT (10pm PST) UK time. Your Season score would still be in place for the entire season



Selection of “The Mob”

After selection of The One as described above, and subject to the participation limits described below, before each Round, we will select the top one hundred (100) players in the game lobby to compete as a member of ‘The Mob’ based on the same pre-determined score criteria and tie-breaker criteria used to determine The One, as described above. However, to qualify for the The Mob, players must also meet this additional criteria; the must not have answered incorrectly as the Mob in any previous Round and they must not have already won any prize this season as the Mob.

Players may compete as a member of “The Mob” until such time as they answer a question incorrectly or win a prize. In the unlikely event that all players in the game lobby prior to a given Round have already won a prize or answered incorrectly” we may relax the foregoing gameplay limitation and allow them to compete in The Mob for prizes.
 
my missus loves this by the way..so much so my new xbox is replacing the old one upstairs and the old one is moving to the sitting room just so she can play this!
 
I made the mob in my first live game..sadly I blew it in the last 20 when I didnt know smokey robinsons real name
 
the top ten blew it a few times last night for the 1

how can people think meat loaf was Frank N Furter!
 
I just started playing this today after seeing it advertised on Dashboard for months...
OMG I'm addicted. Been playing the last 2 extended plays and getting really competitive with my younger brother... LIVE game tomorrow evening at 7:30! :)
 
Have I got my settings on my router wrong or is the guy (host) not saying anything?

Also why are they choosing a help on every question?
 
Absolutely raging. First go at the new season tonight, and after a few rounds in the Crowd I got into the Mob. Had a strong run, staying in there when quite a few lost and all of a sudden "Your connection to the game has been lost".

So, I get kicked to the lobby -- not disconnected from Live or anything as I remained the Live Party I was in chatting to a mate about the whole thing. Rejoined the game, and as soon as we saw the question the wife shouts "I know that one!".

She did know it. The majority of the Mob, and the One, didn't. Ended with 4 Mob members winning.

So, so goddamn angry.
