£2,000 to spend on a PC

Read some reviews and seems solid so given them a purchase, will let you know how I get on with them later. Thanks Danny75.

This video was pretty helpful reviewing them.

You're welcome. Hope it works out. Not sure if you saw what I wrote in an earlier post:

"take note of something Creative doesn't specify on the product page - you need to install both sets of software including the Xplus Configurator. On this Xplus thingy, you need to set the headphones to "Generic". This is because out of the box the soundcard is set up for PS4 with less oomph. Then you could use the main software to add Crystalizer (warmer, fun sound) if preferred, etc etc. Personally, I have some Crystalizer and some Bass enabled, with Surround, Smart Volume and Dialog Plus disabled. But this depends on the headphones and one's own taste."

The Equalizer tuning that sounded best to my ears (and my friend's) ended up sort of like the Harman curve. From left to right:

8dB, 10dB, 8dB, 6dB, 4dB, 4dB, 6dB, 8dB, 6dB, 4dB, 0dB.

I don't like how Surround enabled changes the sound. But I did test Dolby Atmos for Windows in Fortnite and have to say it sounded almost as good as no Surround, and provided a tad better noise locating. It was miles better than the in-game Surround as well. End of the day I'm not that competitive so prefer what sounds best to my ears and I stopped using it. But it could be another option for you depending how it goes.

Oh yeah and in the main Creative software, you'll want to set the Gain to Normal Gain (32-64 Ohms). Because the Fidelios are 32 Ohms I think.

I really like the Fidelios, the audio surround sound still feels a bit strong but I think that might be down to my current PC. But I don't get any headaches, I think it being a open cup helped a lot.

If I added a sound card to my budget, anyone got any recommendations for one? Using the Fidelios pretty much the whole time I'm on the PC, so any sound card that can do that headset justice.

Maybe closed ear cup could cause some more feel of pressure from strong lowest frequencies or something.
Actually noise cancelling headphones are even known from causing some feel of pressure to some.

Fidelios aren't power hungry and with low impedance don't need much of voltage.
But that low impedance also demands low output impedance for good electric damping factor, which is measure of how good control signal source has over driver's movement.
Ideally output impedance would be at most 1/8th of headphone impedance.
And not many sound cards have such low few ohm output impedance.
Typically they're like 10-20 ohms and Asus even has quite a few cards with lame 100 ohm output impedances.
Sound BlasterX AE-5 and external G5/G6 are one of the few sound cards with low output impedance.

I thought you had the Creative SoundBlasterX G1 already?

I've used the SoundblasterX G1 and I couldn't seem to limit it, I tried it with no software or 'virtual surround sound' on and it still felt jarring. Maybe I need to get use to it, I have to say though, using them with Razer's Surround Sound app on made it a lot better. Maybe it's just what I'm use too, it seems to blend the different directions of audio in better.
