2.1 Speaker Upgrade

Was there any cooper bar separating the audio components from rest of Mobo (not that is was needed in the past and was mainly the analogue side)?

It is one of these.

To be honest i have other Gigabyte boards that sounded not so great, this one above is the worst I can remember having.

I even had a Seasonic P660 in the computer, so can't even blame the sound on a poor PSU.

I had no intention to ever use the motherboard audio, as I have an Asus Essence. However I build computers in my lounge, and the lounge also has my HiFi separates in there. So out of curiosity I connected motherboard audio into the amp, and o my god, I can't remember anything this bad, it's at the level you can't even enjoy music from it.

Just to clarify. I don't care that the on-board audio is not very good, I buy the Gigabyte boards for the compute site, for the compute side Gigabyte boards are some of the best out there. In 13 years i've never had a Gigabyte board fail, and I've purchased quite a lot.

Everyone used to love the NForce 2 SoundStorm so even then some onboard was good but I preferred a SoundBlaster (cannot remember the model it would have been at that time but current and top one).
