2:1 upgrade

Ouch, that's becoming fairly costly. I bet your dads wallet is not thanking you for taking AV Forums advice, rather than just getting some Z2300's. When it's all sorted, the sound quality over PC speakers will be evident. However, will the hassle and extra cost of it all, be worth it to you. I guess that's something you will only know when it's all working as it should.

There is a website called Head-Fi. You might know it already, which is pretty much dedicated to headphones. They have a saying for new members. 'Welcome to Head-Fi, sorry about your wallet'. Maybe AV Forums should have something similar. I'm sure, like yourself, many a person has left that site after getting advice, and ended up spending a lot more than they intended. :p
 
Well hopefully once this sub gets working it will be worth the money.
Paying a bit myself now as the cost keeps going up and up! Plus the Audi will be drinking the petrol to the shop and back.

Never been on the forum but ye, AVF should have the same!
 
RS had a play around with it all in the demo room. Sub worked fine with their amp *which cost £1000 :O* -wants the speakers which were in there-

Moved onto my amp and it turned out to be that the pre-out just wasn't working.

Home now with replacement, time to start playing around with the bass and treble on sub and volume and crossover frequency on the sub.

Also there's this Phase switch on the sub. 0° or 180° are the options. What does this even mean and what should it be on?

That's the cinema ratio TV isn't it. Don't really see the point myself unless you've major money to burn, since it's only good for movies and you'd need a 16:9 TV for everything else.

If you think a £1000 amp is expensive, go on the High-End forum on Head-Fi and lol@the how expensive some of the gear is. I'd be scared touching some of the stuff knowing how much it is. You could buy a house with the total cost of some of their rigs. (@_@)
