The Dark Knight BluRay has the opening scene filmed in 16:9 (the bank raid) it then cuts to widescreen for the rest of the film, while the black bars don’t bother me too much (46” TV), I must admit the opening 16:9 part does look much more impressive then the rest of the film…(my humble opinion)

Numerous parts of the film are filmed in IMAX 16:9, not just the start. But yes, they are better
