We got a 10mW 2.4Ghz video sender yesterday thought it would have no trouble at all transmitting through a one stud partition wall into the next room. How wrong! The image quality is great but there is constant breakup in the picture, after trying all the channels I have managed to get one that looks half decent with the least amount of dropout. Still pretty lame!

When the transmitter is on it totally cripples my WIFI in the whole of the house, even out in the garden it totally blacks it out. I know they use the same band so its not too surprising they disrupt WIFI, but is pretty surprising how easy it would be to wipe out a large area of WIFI.. This is only a 10mW transmitter imagine what an illegal hong kong shipped 3W video sender transmitter could do!

Does anyone have any experience with any other video senders? Perhaps that use a different band, any sugguestions on what ones to be looking at?

Cheers

I had similar issues when i used video senders, but it was my wi-fi and xbox 360 (wireless pad technology) causing the video to be unwatchable.

You can get 2.5Ghz senders in the states, but i've never seen any for sale here and i haven't looks for a long while.

Surely if it's only through one wall it would be easy to run a cable right?

Ive tried most 2.4 ghz video senders, and NONE of them were much good. (basically anythink would interfere with them). Of course this all depends on what gadget and gizmos are in your house, but i gave up in the end after several months messing with at least 10 different types of video senders.

Same problem here. My wireless video sender gave a steady picture but it was always affected by banding which I tracked down to my DECT phones which operated on a similar frequency.
