Hi guys got a untested hdd from bay, took a chance as it was cheap.
Opened my lappy hdd to find its got a different connector, this could be an adaptor but not sure

So pull out a really old P1 166 lappy to test, no joy there is a small ticking noise.

The hdd off bay is a Fujitsu 60gb MHT2060AH and its got a date on the hdd 2005-02 . Is there anyway i could check if its got warranty like you can do with maxtor site?
Model MH2060AH

The pictures are pretty blurry so I can't tell properly, but from what I can tell by the photos, it looks like an IDE hard drive with a proprietry connector stuck to the original connector. You should (disclaimer: at your own risk) be able to pull off that slim black block to reveal the original connectors. If it's 2 rows of pins, it's IDE.
