I am currently in a serious (ok maybe im exaggerating a bit) dilema. I bought an E5400 cpu for my Abit IP35-E mobo but found out it wasn't compatible. I then bought a E6300 2.8GHz version thinking it would be compatible But it turns out that there are 3 variants of the E6300 (http://processorfinder.intel.com/List.aspx?ParentRadio=All&ProcFam=0&SearchKey=e6300) and my mobo doesnt work with the 2.8GHz one .

Anyways im planning to sell one of the cpus and buy a new mobo but im not sure which one to sell. I plan to overclock to ~3.6GHz so i want to keep the better overclocker. The E5400 has a 800MHz fsb and the E6300 is 1066MHz. Which one should i keep?:D

Well i guess the E6300 is better then, i was thinking that since the E5400 had a lower fsb, it could be clocked much higher

it can work with an E5200 if you get the beta bios, but thats the only recent cpu it works with. I can post the link if you want, its not on the abit website. I got it on the abit care section on another site, which is blocked
