Guys

as title, i want to put 2 120mm 2000rpm fans on one three pin MB header via a Y splitter, will this cause any problems and will i be able to alter their voltage (I usually put them down to 6v in bios)

cheers

Depends on the fans? Whats their wattage and what is the mobo's header maximum wattage?

Had a quick look through the manual, but it doesnt give the max wattage (abit IP35pro) neither does the fans website unfortunately (sharkoon silent eagle 2000)

might not bother in that case, dont want to blow anything up lol..

just get a molex -> fan header and a doubler on that :)

the old delta EHE fans had warnings not to put them on motherboard headers, you'd probably be fine with the sharkoons, but i wouldn't risk it

no, it won't.
the header can't monitor 2 fan speeds but 2 headers can monitor 1 each & FanEq can display all the headers.
