hey guys, wonder if you could help me out

I just got a new machine with an SSD hard drive and another 1TB Western Digital - during the windows 7 installation i installed it on the SSD, but when windows is now running, my Western Digital will not show up? Any ideas?

Also, i hope i havent f'd up, but I just went from iMac back to PC and backed up all my data to my EXT HD, which was obviously formatted to Mac compatible, now is there any way that windows will pick it up?

It's plugged in but it wont display, but disk management shows its there (as with the western digital).

Thanks for the help :)

Can't help you with the Mac problem as I have no experience with that at all.

However, is the Western Digital drive a brand new drive? Has it been formatted? If it's brand new then you may have to initialise it. Right click on it in disk management and select initialize disk. You can then go on to format it and it will show up in explorer.

Ok Disk Management is showing this;

it is not giving any options to initialize the drives, for Disk 0 I can convert to dynamic disk or delete volume, for disk 2 i can get new spanned, stripped or mirrored volume, also convert to dynamic disk

i have no idea what to choose here

i also have 2 conflicts in device manager,

marvell 91xx config ata device
universal serial bus (usb) controller

neither of which i have drivers for, but if they are both hard drives they shouldnt need it?

Yeah I figured out how to fix disk 0, that was a bit simple should have thought of that.

I also managed to find out how to get the USB drive to work with MacDrive :)

thanks
