2 hard drives, one OS

I have win 7 64bit on my SSD and recently got back my formatted 1TB F3, the F3 work as a storage drive without an OS on it? Or do i need to install win 7 on the storage drive too?

Google is really no help on this one unless i want to RAID or do other stuff.

it just works as a storage device. format it as ntfs and assign it a drive letter

no need to put os on it

nope,just plug it in the mb and make sure your ssd is the first boot device in the hdd priority/boot order in the bios and thats it,just use your hdd for storage/games ect

I've done that and i can see it in the BIOS but it isn't showing in windows so i thought it may not be possible.
I guess it's a formatting issue then. What would be the best way to format it to NTFS and how to assign a drive letter?

Open 'disk management' (a search should bring it up). You should be able to see it in there and then format it
